Edison International is a public utility holding company based in Rosemead, California. Its subsidiaries include Southern California Edison, and unregulated non-utility business assets Edison Energy. Edison's roots trace back to Holt & Knupps, a company founded in 1886 as a provider of street lights in Visalia, California.
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Now: Discrimination tolerated. Inconsistent treatment of disabled employees company wide and even from one disabled employee to next.. "Immediate supervisor is ultimate decision maker" when it comes to a disabled employee. If you file a complaint outside the Company, prepare to be fired."

Security dept. make them liable or let them go. Outsource everything....then, they will realized."

Former Employee - Business Development says"Pension benefits were much lower than other comparable similar employees. Tried to get an employee benefits statement in writing from a senior executive and could not. Pension benefits were 50% or less! ASK FOR BONUS RELATED TO OVERSEAS TRAVEL AND DEALS IN ADVANCE!! YOU WILL RECEIVE NOTHING OTHERWISE. WORKED UNTIL 2 AM ON DEAL AND NO-ONE CARED. FIRM WILL PUT YOU INTO DANGEROUS WORK SITUATIONS WITHOUT THOUGHT. PROTECT YOURSELF AHEAD OF TIME IN WRITING AND BCC A COPY TO HUMAN RESOURCES. Male chauvinist atmosphere for several of the older key employees, but not all. Extensive travel. Worked over 70 hours a week without overtime or significant bonus. Incentive pay completely unrelated to deals closed or hours worked. Ignore boss' lying about being present for deal closings...!!! Boss failed to sign human resources paperwork on a timely basis for three years for promotion and out of state move."

shift Operator/ Mechanic (Former Employee) says"if you want to work with people that have no empathy what so ever, work your back off every day and night with a crazy schedule, under so much pressure and stressful environment, the managers think they are Gods, not caring workmates. and then they won't even hesitate to get you fired with no warnings or consultation or anything regardless of being having a family and kids and house payment. go work for this place and end up out in the street, the money is ok but what good is going to do if they let you go"

Contracts had to be written correctly and there were no gaap regulations at that point in fiber optics so we had to propose them for approval. Very very interesting. Left because becasue edison put for the first time an outside edison president to run another large edison and there was significant theft. After this edison decided to only promote to management internal edison employees for which I had only been 2 years not qualifitying"
